Welcome to Spilled
Spilled combines the power of writing and female connection to unlock creative, emotional, and therapeutic expression.
It’s a writing community for women by women, designed to evoke the same feeling as cozy, dwindling moments of a perfect night with your girlfriends: laughter, honesty, and the kind of stories that only spill out when you feel safe.
Spilled is a third place for women with an affinity for storytelling and deep heart-to-hearts with other women. Our community comes together in a mix of in-person and online forums.
Spilled Writing Club is our in-person writing workshop and wine night community gathering, typically hosted at wine bars and literary spaces in Brooklyn. The workshops guide the group through curated readings paired with customized prompts and open circles of sharing. Together, we create a space where writing feels less like work and more like connection, creation and community.
The Spilled Studio, our new online offering, is where we nurture and strengthen our community between in-person gatherings, and welcome those who aren't able to attend the workshops. Unlike a New York City studio apartment, The Spilled Studio comes with many rooms. The Foyer is open to all. The Salon hosts our gatherings. The Study holds my most personal writing. And The Lounge is where we stay after the lights dim and wine runs out.

Includes all previous features, plus access to the Spilled community chat — a kind of writer’s society that meets behind a secret door in the library.

Membership prices are intentionally kept as low as possible to support the growth of an engaged community. I believe that developing writing skills and participating in a creative community should be accessible to anyone, not hidden behind expensive courses and MFA degrees.
